you may have noticed that there’s a new category in the sidebar on the right of the front page - Who’s visiting Mugget?
i recently found out about gVisit - a site that tracks visitors to your website and then uses Google Maps to show the location of the visitors.
gVisit provides the service free of charge, but it’s limited to only showing the 20 most recent visitors unless you pay a small donation…
but still 20 visitors provides a bit of an interesting map:
so whenever you’re feeling a bit curious - you’ll be able to click the “Check the map” link and see the location of recent mugget viewers. ![]()
Wow. Is that Paraguay?
Cool, one of those dots is me. Woohoo, im on the map!!
Who is from Wroclaw in Poland?
i don’t know who’s from Poland. and thank goodness there’s no way to track down who comes from where. now that would be scary…
although (depending on the area) you can zoom in to get a pretty good look at individual houses, you don’t know whose house it is.
is that legal?
yes, i’m quite sure this is legal (in the majority of the world :P).
see - every time you visit a site you leave your IP behind. gVisit uses LocationTrack.com to put the IP on the map.
if you think this is scary… just imagine what kind of maps (and no doubt real-time as well) the military has available!
they’d be able to zoom in on just a bit more than what you can on Google Maps.
Speaking of Military, I was talking to the Colonel the other day Mugget, he says you still owe him for the Enchilada Party he hosted….
But seriously, Who is looking at this site from Iceland? Probably Bjork, she is one crazy beach, nigga’s.
