no, i’m not talking about the funny looking spots you may find on various parts of your anatomy - these are a couple of great ads for (as far as i can tell) the French rail system. (but i could be wrong. French was never my forte.)

the site is in French, but there’s no speaking, except in the very last part of the ads, you’ll be able to get the idea anyway.
our own Animal Logic has worked on this big ad for Carlton United (you know, the guys who make beer - with those big metal things).
shot in Queenstown, New Zealand, just about all the backpackers they could find were recruited - 300 extras in total. but that wasn’t nearly enough for this big ad. the large crowd shots were done with CG, taking 12 weeks to animate.

follow the link for the whole story, as well as a 10MB QuickTime version of the ad (very handy if you went to the big ad site and just got annoyed with that stupid player…. :x)
extra! extra! considering beer is the closest thing i’ll ever post that’s related to food… the comments here get the Swedish Chef filter. you know you want to… ![]()
this new 60 second spot for Adidas is very impressive. some great VFX work in here.

If you had to find a new way to represent the raw energy, the elemental skills, and the essence of the combat that takes place on a football field, how would you go about it?
check the link for the 60 second spot as well as a few hi-res images.
