PostPixel loves some good pixel news. So it’s great to announce the Terapixel!! Some clever folks have blasted away the 4GB TIFF file format size limit, creating thier own version called BigTIFF, needed for the 143GB that makes up a terapixel image.

Of course the image is available for viewing online, link below.

More details on Apple’s new Fifth Avenue retail store…

The store is now officially open, time lapse video is available of the first 24 hours of the stores opening. Someone even used the time lapse video to propose. (Hope she’s an Apple fan.
)

Steve Jobs was interviewed on CNBC to mark the opening of their new store, which will be open 24/365. Nice.
Comments were also made on the choice to run with Intel chips rather than AMD, and… the iPhone…
… no comment.

There’s some great work here by Christopher Gilbert. Who is that you ask? Well I didn’t recognize the name either, even though I have seen a few of these images before.

I tried to find Christopher’s portfolio site and came accross olivemoon.design, which appears to be his site, although I can’t find any of the images from the other pages on there.

This is a real eye-catcher. The actual store is below-ground. This is what you’ll see from the street. (Minus the black covering on the glass.)

Massive props to Apple.
