PostPixel loves some good pixel news. So it’s great to announce the Terapixel!! Some clever folks have blasted away the 4GB TIFF file format size limit, creating thier own version called BigTIFF, needed for the 143GB that makes up a terapixel image.

Of course the image is available for viewing online, link below.

It’s been a while since any shorts have been posted here, time to start a watchin’ again!

Entitled “La Marche Des Sans-Nom”, this is a short by L. Vigroux, N. Laverdure and J. Constantial, showing their view of war and the destiny of soldiers at war.
After being in an animation vacuum for a while, then coming along and finding great work like this, it’s not hard to remember why I love animation.

It’s about time that apps started to use all the great Core features of OS X…
The Public Beta is out. I just had to give it a try… and it looks like it can do just about everything that I’ve been using Toast for… burn UDF DVD’s, create disk images from files. Although I’m not sure if it can mount disk images like Toast. Either way, I’m using Disco from now on.
For those of you unfortunate enough not to have OS X and see this for yourselves, you can check out this video.
